Axiom Zen is a venture design studio. We collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to turn ideas into companies. We are looking for a startup-minded back-end engineer to join our team on a challenging and rewarding project. You’ll work closely with our best practices-driven engineering team, committed to continuous deployment, continuous integration, and automated testing.
Among others our recent works leverage Golang, Swift, Objective-C, Java, Python, and Lisp. We also work with technologies such as React.js, Angular.js, Webpack, and Sass, as well as vanilla CSS and JavaScript.
This position is open to a freelancer or someone interested in becoming a full-time employee, and can be remote. We are collaborating with a U.S. Government-funded NGO, and as such this position requires U.S. Citizenship (Permanent Residents are not eligible).
As the ideal candidate, you have:
U.S. Citizenship Expertise with Golang Experience using graph databases like Neo4j Experience shipping high quality code in a fast-paced mission-critical environment Commitment to practical application of best practices in software development including TDD, continuous integration, Agile, and continuous delivery Strong grasp of CS fundamentals, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns Familiarity and comfort with git and GitHub BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience Bonus Points
Experience working with a remote team Good grasp of UX and UI design principles Interest or expertise in big data, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), voice recognition or other artificial intelligence Experience working with a top-tier company/startup
